I'm 6 weeks and have been suffering from excruciating headaches,back pain, and dizzy spells. My ob doesn't have an opening until the 13th..should I go to the er?

Answer

Call the OBs office and say you are an established patient of theirs who is having some serious pain and needs a callback from the doctor.

Try not to explain the reason to the receptionist too much, or she might try to get rid of you by taking the easy out ("go to the ER").

Whatever you do- don't let the receptionist get rid of you.  Insist on a call back from the doctor or on-call doctor.

Almost any office will do this for patients.
