Do you use the same cutting board for both meat & vegetables?

Personally I use a glass cutting board for meat & wood(bamboo) for my veggies & other non meat items.

I wash the cutting board between each new vegetable type. I took foodsafe so I'm always thinking cross contamination Lol don't take it if you like to double dip in stuff!!

If they are both being cooked yes same. If it's chopping lettuce for a salad nope

I'll chop vegetables first, set them aside, then use the same cutting board for meat. Never the other way around. I don't have separate boards for different food types but they are bleached and rinsed with boiling water between uses.

The mineral oil seal on wood prevents it from soaking into the wood. You can do a fresh coat every 3 months to feel safe.

in my family we've got 4 cutting boards they were originally intended for different things but I think we will just use them randomly now??😞😟😣😖

I wouldn't use a wood one for any foods, do you know the amount of bacteria that wood holds no matter how much you clean it! Nasty

I bought a glass cutting board specifically so I could just wash everything off of it. Plastic and wood are too inviting for bacteria in my opinion. Granted my mom and grandmother both use wooden ones and I've never been sick from their food. I just feel better having a glass one.

I use the same cutting board for both, but it gets washed in between cutting.

We have a wooden one we use one side for neat the other side for veg... Just like my husbands mother :)
