Provera...?

OK so here's a little info on my situation. I have been TTC #2 for almost a year. My period has been MIA since October. I'm literally on CD 84. I'm not pregnant. My doctor has done all the tests and even an ultrasound. I've been tested for PCOS (which came back negative.) My doctor prescribed me Provera to induce my period. I read the booklet that they give you with every medication (shouldn't have done that lol) because now I'm a little nervous. The side effects look pretty intense. Breast cancer being one of them.... Have any of you beautiful ladies taken this medication?? If so what was your experience with it? Did it actually induce your period?
