Is $3 a good tip pizza delivery tip?

Eh.. Its better than nothing. My husband has 2 jobs, one being a pizza delivery driver. What a lot of people don't understand is they literally live off of their tips. He's driven 15 miles to deliever a pizza and gotten nothing for a tip. Before he worked there, I was the person who tipped $2, $3 and didn't think twice. Now I know differently. Its why he had to get a second job, Dominos tips just weren't cutting it.

I deliver for dominoes and honestly tips really make the job worth it. I don't get paid half as much as I should for all the shit you have to deal with, never forget to tip your delivery drivers!!

Delivery drivers drive their own cars so have costs for maintenance beyond what they would if they just worked in a restaurant. Plus I think they pay their own gas costs and don't usually get paid even minimum wage.

Even if my order is small I'll still tip $4 or $5 for delivery.  If 20% would work out to be more I'll tip 20% instead.

I will give $5 no matter what total cost is and if its more than like $15 I'll give $7 and if its over $20 then I'll just do 10-15%.
But.. There was a time I was absolutely broke and I ended up in a restaurant with friends and just ordered fries and a pop and my tip was $1 😐 but it was tip higher or food that I had to buy for the next day so its not always personal when someone tips low

I usually tip $5 but I don't think $3 is bad. Delivery drivers make regular wage not a servers wage.
