Depends on the country you live in...I'm in Thailand now and can go into a pharmacy and choose from many without a prescription. But, in the USA (where I'm from), you do. Nevertheless, I think it's important to go to a doctors office/clinic and make sure you know exactly what dosage you need. The wrong dosage for your weight can lead to pregnancy.
