Anyway, I know babies need so much, and it's all expensive and I am getting some things second hand and looking for deals, etc. but for the high priced items that we have to buy new for safety, etc., do Hubby and I go ahead and buy those and just mark them off the registry ourselves? I kind of feel like people want to give gifts of cute things like blankets, clothes, and not like a car seat or crib. Should I check with certain family members to see if they want to "claim" one of the big gifts first? What did you all do? We literally have bought nothing at this point (18 weeks).
