Any stay at home moms?

I'm currently working part time and I am considering being a stay at home mom. I like my job but my husband and I are thinking this may be the best option for us rather than put our son in daycare. I'm feeling gulity at the moment about wanting to stay at home with our son. I'm also a ftm.Any advice would be welcome.

Stay home with your baby.  I am a stay at home mom and it's so rewarding and comforting, knowing my kids are safe. I'm not going to lie, it's tough work, emotionally draining at times and very stressful. It's not easy at all. But I wouldn't have it any other way. My husband and I both decided on me staying home because we think at least one of us should be with the kids all of the time. I can't imagine paying someone else to basically raise my kids. But to each their own, honestly it takes balls to be a stay at home mom  or leave your kids every day to work a 40+ hour work week.

I stayed at home with my first two this one I am going to be a working mom!! I would do anything to have the option to say home but I can't this time around!!! I don't want to leave my baby but have no choice !! Consider yourself very lucky and STAY HOME for at least a yes then go part time if you choose then.

I'm staying home! I just graduated from college 3 weekends okay, in a way I feel like I wasted time but we agree that staying home is best for baby.

I'm a SAHM and have been one for over 6 years. It's hard and amazing at the same time. This is #3 for us, my older two are 4 & 6. It's become easier as they've gotten older. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Stay home if you can. When I had my son 8 years ago, I had no choice but to work full time, and I missed so much. I actually quit my job 2 years ago, because now I financially can, and hated coming home from work at 6:30, getting him from after school care and rushing around. Now I'm here when he leaves and comes home and it's so nice. With my 2nd on the way I'm really looking forward to being here for everything I had to miss with my first.

I'm a stay at home mom now but also a full time student. I quit my job back in November. Honestly I enjoy it but I do feel guilty at times because I can't contribute financially. I also feel bad because I'm so used to having my own money and now I feel like it's difficult for Christmas and his birthday etc because I don't want to ask him for his money to buy him a present lol. I know he's not upset by any of it but I still feel bad sometimes! However I would ultimately say if you guys are able to afford it then go for it! It's great for the kids plus daycare is crazy expensive anyhow

Stay at home while you can, you will not regret it. You can never get back that time with your child and they change so fast those first few precious years.

I've been a SAHM for almost 5 years. My youngest starts school in Aug so I'll be staying home with baby #3 (due in April ) can't wait!

If you have the luxury of being able to choose then stay at home with your kid(s) I agree!! It's normal in this day and age for both parents to have to work because the cost of living is not always easy. I mean two vehicle payments house payment college loans utilities phones expenses etc it's understandable if there's no option!! But if you can then choose to be a stay at home mom if you can. I'm thinking breadwinner make much more so have to work :/ and it's hard not always being there!!

I work full time in a daycare, and was lucky enough to get my daughter in to the same daycare. She is just now old enough to be in the room I work in so it will be different for me, but I don't regret being a working mom.
