What do Braxton hicks contractions feel like?

I've read a few places that it's not supposed to be painful? So if it doesn't hurt what does it feel like?

I can feel the entire outline of my uterus contract and go very hard for around 30 seconds then soften again. Not painful - although sometimes uncomfortable if walking
