V-back after C-section?

Has anyone had a C-section previously and then went into labor and had a normal V-back with their second child? I'm currently under this situation and we are hoping that we can have a normal delivery but doctors don't think it's going to be possible.

Yep. I've done it twice now. Do lots of reading about it. A lot of doctors will refuse simply because of policy. If that's the case, find another doctor or another hospital that will. I have to drive 45 minutes away to find a hospital that allows it. It's worth it.

Depends on a lot if things, like why you had a c-section, how the surgery went, how long ago it was and whether everything healed correctly. I had one last time and am now 33 weeks, also hoping for a natural birth this time. My midwife helps women through "v-bac" births regularly, but not everyone can do it. Did your doctors say specifically why they don't think you can? That's important to know. If they aren't giving you satisfactory answers, I think it's fine to get a second opinion to make sure you understand your own situation and the risks involved.

They told me that I go into labor before I hit my 40 week mark then they will let me attempt to do it on my own with out any Pitocin or medicines that will help me go into labor, because of the risks. But if there is any tiny complications they will take me to get a C-section immediately.
