Ovulating?

Question

My doctors did blood tests that say I am ovulating but all the home tests are negative! How do I know when it's time? I am so frustrated! Any help?

Are you taking your basal temperature? That to me would be step number 1

Answer

Definitely do your basal temp. You can purchase a basal thermometer on Amazon for next to nothing. Take your temp at the same time every morning before you get out of bed or move around much- orally or vaginally- and log it on the app-I just take it orally when I wake up and log it immediately. When you've ovulated, your temp will jump up anywhere between .5 to 1.0 degree and will stay up for about 14 days (mine drops the morning of the day my period starts). If it stays higher for 18+ days and you don't get your period, you're most like pregnant. If you google it, there's tons of info and different charts to look at so you can get an idea of when you're ovulating. Also, after a few months, you'll develop a cover line- you're commonly below the cover line before you ovulate, and go above it after you've ovulated. You should be above your cover line for at least three days after you ovulate to know that you truly ovulated (in other words- one day increased temp then going back down below the cover line is not an ovulation). It is really best to look all of this up because I might not be 100% accurate and I've probably forgotten something 😂 Good luck!!!! It has definitely helped me understand my cycle much better.
