Any ideas on why my doctor doesn't want tk check me to see if I'm dilated. I asked her about it and she said that it doesn't necessarily mean the baby will come soon even if I was so why bother.

I would really like to know as I'm 38 weeks. Should I demand to know next time I go? What all do they actually do to check?
