Giving 'golden milk' while sick
My LC told me to pump after each feed the first two weeks and save the colostrum infused milk as 'golden milk' to be used during illness because it's amazing at providing antibodies. Well I did and I have a bit of it saved in 1-2 ounce packs. My baby is sick and I want to give her some but I'm not sure if I should thaw it and give her all golden milk until I'm out, or thaw a couple oz and mix it in with fresh for the current antibodies. Should I use all I have or save some for another illness? Anyone have knowledge of this? I can call Monday but she's sick now! She has cold symptoms, I had this cold the past week or so. She eats 5 oz every 3-5 hours. She's 2 months old, and exclusively breastfed. Thanks so much for your help!
