Gender?

What's the earliest you were able to find out the gender of the baby, and was the first answer they gave you right? I already have a daughter...and had to wait until 20 weeks and that's so long I can't handle that lol but I wasn't sure if it was accurate any earlier then 20 weeks

My friend just found out at 16 weeks.

I was 38 with my last pregnancy and considered advanced maternal age.  I took a blood test at 10 weeks called Maternity 21 that also used baby's DNA to determine  the sex.  I knew really early that I was having a boy.

For my first pregnancy I found out at about 18 weeks only because when the doctor was going to tell me at my previous appointment (at 16wks) my son had his legs crossed.

I've heard of people finding out as early as 12 weeks, but I've also heard of some doctors who wait to tell you until your about 20 weeks like your first pregnancy. I guess it depends on your doctor.
