I want my boyfriend to eat me out but....

The last couple times he's done it he tells me that i dont smell and or taste too good down there. He wasn't telling me this to be rude or to be a jerk about it but he was telling me because he was worried about my health. Is there anyway i can really fix that situation "down there"?
