I started the combined pill over a week ago at the start of my period and had sex without a condom the night before last and he didn't finish. However I'm experiencing small amounts of brown discharge. Should I go and get emergency contraception tomorrow? Did my pill work?

I've recently been put on birth control and my doctor said it doesn't take effect until after one month of taking it

As far as I know you are good, once you take it everyday you will be protected, I would say the spotting is only from starting a new pill I wouldn't worry too much
