Do I need an electric or manual pump?

pump?" /> I plan on breastfeeding but I will be a stay at home mama so I'm debating if I should get an electric or a manual pump. I will mostly breastfeed and depending on how much I produce I'll pump too. What do u think?

I have both manual is good if you just need to relieve a little engorgement or pump the side baby didn't eat. Electric is great if you're pumping multiple times a day

In the us electric pumps are now covered under most insurance, so if you get one for free, then obviously take advantage of that. Manual pumps work as well as electric but they can make your hand tired. Of course, they also don't need electricity :) so that's just preference. And heck, you might discover you don't need a pump at all. Learn manual expression whether you pump or not, and that might be all you need.

I'll be getting both. Electric for when I go back to work, and manual for quick pumping at home/on the go.
