Maternity leave?!

So I have a question about maternity leave. I am unsure of how exactly it works. I live in Ohio therefore my maternity leave is UNPAID. I have two jobs one (the main job) which I had to put in a formal request to take the time off. The second job is at a local owned business so no formal request was needed. I work my full time job during the week and the second job for just a few hours on Saturdays. So my question is.. Can I take the unpaid maternity leave from my full time job but still work the part time job once a week?

Your not gonna want to work I can tell you that now! Take your 6 weeks of time with baby. Are you married or live with SO? I work for government so mines ia unpaid once I run out of leave hours. I'm stressed but I know it will work out!

I can't believe the USA. In Canada, we get a year off, and it's paid.

If you feel like you're up to it, yes. I didn't want to go anywhere for a week and didn't want to even leave my daughter to go take a long shower!

You are entitled to maternity but you mentioned unpaid. I'm not sure but you might be able to get your boss to fill out a form for unemployment. It's a good question to ask.

I'm in Ohio too, and its 6wks for vaginal and 8wks for c-section delivery at my job but I can use vacation and sick time also
