Just did mine! Waited until 15 weeks. I wore a mask just for the bleach part at the front of my face, just because the smell was too strong. That was only for 15 minutes though. I needed my hair done badddd

The only reason it isn't recommended in the first trimester is because of how insane hormones are. They can make your hair react in insane ways. It's still completely safe, your hair just might turn out striped haha. Just stay in a well ventilated salon. Aka don't do it at home in your bathroom. I was pregnant all through cosmetology school with my first.

I color my hair religiously at a salon but during my first trimester we made sure the salon was well ventilated and didn't touch my scalp/roots, now that I'm 17 weeks I have her do my roots. My last hair dresser gave me this advice (her two babies are just fine as well as my first child)

I'm a licensed Cosmotologist and own a salon. It's completely safe. Only thing I warn my ladies of, is that hormones will make your body do funny things and sometimes (hasn't personally happened to me) the color won't take in all the places. Happened to a lady I used to work with on one of her ladies. I have a lot of pregnant women that we color frequently and I will be working until the week before delivery. Just make sure it's well ventilated, but majority of haircolor doesn't have a lot of fumes if your in a licensed salon and not at home using store bought color.

My ob gyn said it perfectly fine to dye your hair at 16 weeks i dye my hair on new years eve she gave me the ok as long in good ventilated area .. She once your 16 weeks is ok. Is not ok to bleach because it has harm chemicles... If its box is ok.

I dyed mine at 14 weeks. It was lovely to feel like me again. My midwife told me it was all bollocks and to dye it whenever I liked. But I waited until later anyway.
