Mucus plug?

Question

Anyone lost their mucus plug but still not in labor? I'm pretty sure I'm in the process of losing my mucus plug, I've had a ton of jelly like discharge that doesn't ever seem to stop. No cramps or labor pains though. I'm 34weeks, just want to know if anyone else is in the same boat.

Hasn't happened to me but I known lots of people lose their plug in the weeks before labor actually starts. It will regenerate

I think you can lose it up to a few weeks before labor actually starts. I'm not really sure what purpose it serves in late pregnancy anyway since it seems the cervix is what has to dilate to break the "water" sac and allow the baby out.

And I've had three hours of contractions, and am dilated and effaced. He's still in there!

I started losing it last week at 34 weeks and I am 1 cm dilated. 35 weeks and 1 day today and not in labor... yet! 😊
