I'm so scared about my first appointment. Will it hurt when they do the pap smear or draw blood? I'm terrified.

The Pap smear feels as if someone is scratching the inside of your vagina. It's uncomfortable but NOT painful it makes me squint. And blood will be the same in as it was in the er. If you thought it hurt it will hurt if not then it won't. It's not a big deal you're about to have a melon shoved through your vagina. Last thing I'd worry about is a Pap smear or blood draw.

Have you never had blood drawn? And they don't usually do pap smears unless you haven't had one recently.

I've never gotten a pap swear done because my doctor doesn't do them unless you're 21 and over. My first appointment she made me pee in a cup, did a pelvic exam, did an std check (qtip in urethra hurt a bit) ,a swab for any infections and then got my blood drawn. None of it really hurt, it was just uncomfortable. But they have to check for everything for yours and your baby's safety. Goodluck:)
