Shaving your pubic hair

Okay. So ever time I shave my Pubic hair all the way (which is like ever 2 weeks) I get so many pimples and bumps. What is the right way to do it? It also itches and feels weird. I want to have a smooth looking vagina for my future boyfriend if y'all know what I mean
