Early scan for uk?

Hi there, is anyone else in the uk and can not wait until the 12 weeks NHS scan? I'm looking into the option of finding somewhere private and paying for an earlier one!i can't possibly wait another 5 weeks!! I've known I'm pregnant for 3 weeks and it's already felt like a life time!

I used baby bond with my other children but have an early scan booked nhs for Saturday this time.

I went to The Birth Company on Harley Street at 6W 3days, they were fab. We even got a video of the tiny baby.

Where in the UK are you? One of my friends has a clinic in battle East Sussex that does early scans. Not 100% sure of the costs.

Hi, I'm in Derbyshire & pregnant with my first, so excited! Got my booking appointment on 12th Jan, I'll be about 9 and half week by then. Can't wait for first scan and hear that little heart beat! Would love an early scan but I can't justify the money since we bought a house in need of renovation just weeks before finding out we're expecting so all our money is spoken for! I know the feeling, it's felt like forever for me too! I went to the GP who said he'd refer me to a midwife. That was on 21st December and I haven't heard from anyone. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if I can get a "booking in" appointment ASAP. If they can't do that then I'll get a private scan - worrying if everything's going as it should can't be good for the baby!!

I paid for one at Babybond which are at our Mothercare, was really good. However not much to see at the time was 7 weeks. We only paid as had some bleeding over Xmas and was very worried. It cost £99 I wouldn't have done it if we didn't have that situation or maybe would have waited until 9 weeks when there is a bit more to see.

I have my first appointment called a 'booking appointment' and it says to expect to be in there for 2hrs. When I looked on the NHS website it says I may be offered a scan.. I'll be 10wks4d ar this appointment so I hope I am, don't really want to wait any longer.. Found out I'm pregnant as '1-2weeks' on clear blue so eager to check everything is as should be, so I see where your coming from, it's annoying!

I'm in the UK too, we paid £50 for a private scan and it was so worth it for peace of mind. We used a company called take a peek in the North West. My friend is 13w 5 days and is still waiting an appointment for her first nhs scan. I've got my booking in app on Wednesday, I'll be 9w 3 days then.
