How to make your period lighter?

So my period started yesterday and it's REALLY heavy! Do any of y'all have any tricks that help lighten your period? I have to be able to do it secretly, though. Please help!

Magnesium and complex B supplements help. My doctor also said to start taking a full dose of ibuprofen 2-3 days before I start to help things. It works pretty well for me. I also take vitex although this is more for the pms.

Exercise helps it lighten but not straight away, maybe in your next period or the one after if ex erode between now and then carry it through, I've noticed exercise shortens my period too!😃
