I finally had my sweet baby boy Tuesday December 29, 2015 at 7:10 AM...
I had my membranes stripped Monday afternoon and I was already dilated to 4cm when he did it. I had been hurting on and off for the rest of the day and took a couple of teaspoons of castor oil hoping if I could get regular contractions enough the hospital would keep me... Well starting around eleven or twelve they were regular then died off around one in the morning. So I fell asleep and woke up at 2 in the morning with awful contractions and everything down below hurting. I decided these were real and got my fiancé up to go. We got to the hospital at 3 am. And I was still at 4cm so they wanted to wait to see if I would progress... (I'm at 4cm and having terrible contractions at 39 weeks and 6 days! You'd think they would have admitted me to begin with) Well at five they come back to check me and said I was still at 4 so they get the doc and 15 minutes later she comes in to check me... I'm at 6cm and my bag was bulging... My nurse comes in to ask a few questions then I get up to pee and my water breaks before I shut the door to the bathroom. Oh then the contractions become even more intense than they already were and I'm in tears over the pain and stressing they aren't going to get me into labor and delivery in time for an epidural. Well around 6 they get me in a room and im begging for an epidural there was one other person in front of me so I had to wait. I finally get it around 6:30ish and as soon as he starts walking out the door I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. The nurse starts getting concerned trying to roll me on my sides and calls for more nurses I kept asking what was wrong (thinking it was me) because they are putting on an oxygen mask and they wouldn't answer me until finally they tell me my baby's heart rate dropped from where I have progressed so quickly. But they got it back up. And shortly after that I start feeling him starting to work his way down and I start panicking telling the nurse he's coming and she's holding my legs together after she checks me and says I'm still partially 9 and not to push ( which is kind of hard when your body is practically doing it for you) then I really start feeling him and I'm telling the nurse he's coming and she needs to get the doc and she tells me that I push with out the doc at first well... I did a practice push and they went to get the doctor. 6:59 I started pushing and Oh My Goodness I felt EVERYTHING!!!! It was insane how I could slowly feel him work his way down! But he was out by 7:10 am! And I couldn't have been more grateful! That was the scariest most painful 40 minutes of my life but it was worth every second! Everyone meet Jasper Van 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long!!!
