Opinions: Smoking weed while pregnant??

Question

I know a close friend who smokes because it relieves them of stress from their pregnancy and this person is only 6wks along. What are your thoughts and what would you do or say to them? (This is her first pregnancy that was planned)

The smoke itself is what is bad for the baby. If she needs it, edibles are the best option. Also, if she doesn't have her medical card, CPS will be called when the child is born. They test mothers' urine for drugs and such during appointments.

She needs to stop, nobody knows what thc does to a fetus. Why would you put your baby's well being at risk? She should have figured out a different way to relieve stress before she got pregnant. I know people will get angry with this comment,  but I think it's selfish. Tell her to ask her doctor if it's okay to smoke weed bc I'm pretty sure 0% of physicians would say it's okay. Then encourage her to listen to what the doctor recommends.

They have the right to if they feel the mother is using plus they are suppose to test at birth
