Should I go to the doctor?

I just started my period in October, but haven't had a second one in almost three months. My mom is worried about me because she had some issues involving her periods. She wants to take me to the doctor, but I'm not sure if I should. Please help. Should I go to the doctor?

I think going to the doctor would be very smart. Even if you don't want her to give you anything, she can ease your worries. Also, this opens the door for you to get on the birth control pill if you want to, since it regulates your period. Even if that's not something you want right now, when you have sex in the future, you'll be thankful you went and have a doctor willing to give you the pill for multiple reasons

I had over 6 months between my first and second (and I was a late bloomer at 16) I was so regular by 18 I could practically set my watch to it!

How old are you? Your periods are very irregular when they first start. I got my period and didn't get another for two months. But going to a doctor wouldn't hurt so I would go.
