Back cramps? Due 1.16.16

Hi. I'm 38w2d. 2cm and 60% effaced. Last night I had some low back cramps similar to menstrual cramps. Was waiting for contractions but nothing happened and have not had anymore today or tonight. Anyone else experience this? Would this be considered a "preterm labor" symptom?

It could be back labor, that's all I had with my daughter and it was brutal. It's not preterm labor unless you're actually in labor, meaning the contractions or cramps don't ease even with rest and hydration. Good luck!

I don't know if it is considered pre term or not but I'm 36 weeks and have the same exact feeling as well!
