When to expect more sleep

Question

Out baby will be 2 week tomorrow and we've been waking up every 1-3 hours each night to feed and/or diaper change. He seems to sleep longer during the day but that may just be my perception. When do you guys expect to sleep at least 5 hours straight? Just want some light at the end of the tunnel!

My son is 2 1/2 weeks and normally sleeps 3-4 hour stretches at night. The most he has slept is 5 1/2 hours and the least is 2 1/2 hours. Have you tried correlating diaper changes with feedings? When he wakes up, I immediately get him up and change his diaper. Then, I feed him and Swaddle and back to sleep. I think it gives him routine.

I'm a night owl and work nights also , our baby has been on my schedule since pregnancy thank goodness . this is my 6th baby and they have all slept different try your hardest to catch cat naps when they are asleep I know you want to do other things sometimes but it will save your sanity , I had severe insomnia my whole pregnancy like days of not sleeping but it really seems to have prepped me for this lol I stayed awake 40 hours straight after my 20 hour labor  like a weirdo.

It varies a lot baby to baby. Our first daughter woke to eat every 3 hours for the first 7 weeks. Our newborn now sleeps 5 hours the first stretch of the night then 4 the second stretch. I rly just think it depends on baby, but I promise it will get better and there will come a day your sweet babes will sleep all night!! Hang in there

My son started sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at 4 weeks old but he is going through his 6 week growth spurt and is back to sleeping 2 hours at a time 😞 hopefully this ends soon and goes back to 4-5 hours, it was so nice!

My baby is three weeks old and he does up every two hours, and it has gotten to the point where if we hold him and he falls asleep and try to put him down he wakes right back up, lately he has been super fussy and we think it is gas but we are not sure. Me and my husband got more sleep the first week than we do now

My baby will be one month on Tuesday and still doesn't sleep long stretches at night regularly! I seriously need some sleep. He usually won't even go to sleep for the night until 2 am since he is breastfed and cluster feeds at night! Last night and all day today he has eaten every hour, I haven't even been able to nap. We think he is going through a growth spurt...he finally fell asleep like an hour ago in my arms and I'm afraid to move him In case he wakes up!!
