LEEP - have you had one?

Has anyone had a LEEP procedure?

I have one scheduled at the end of the month. Just curious what your experience was and how was recovery?

"LEEP is a treatment for abnormal cells on the cervix. LEEP — short for loop electrosurgical excision procedure — removes abnormal tissue by cutting it away using a thin wire loop that carries an electrical current. It may be performed after abnormal cells are found during a Pap test, colposcopy, or biopsy"

I had one as a teenager. I was put out for it for don't remember the actual process, but afterwards was not so bad... Cramps, bleeding shirt off like a period.... This was probably 12 years ago and I have not had anymore abnormal paps. I had to go in every 6 months for about 2 years to get checked. I've also had a baby since and have another on the way in April. So no problems conceiving.... It really wasn't bad. Good luck 😃

I had one done too and it wasn't so bad, you'll be knocked out and won't even remember a thing. But you might be nauseous though from the meds when you wake up.

I've had 2... The procedure itself is not that bad just feels very uncomfortable... Afterwards you'll have cramping and a little bleeding which is normal

I had it done June 2014. I had discharge for a while after but nothing too major. I don't produce a lot of cm on my own so lube helps for sex.

I had one done two years ago at 23.. Wasn't knocked out they just numb you down there.

Procedure itself is painless - afterwards just cramping and abit of spotting :) I'm currently 36+5 as well :) x
