At what age is it safe to leave your child unsupervised in the tub?

At 6 years old, I would have the child keep the door to the bathroom open, and I would walk in and out throughout bath time to make sure they're safe. But by 7 or 8 I would assume the child could handle a bath completely alone. Also, by 7 or 8 showers become a thing and privacy starts to become important.

Depends on the child. My 4 year old usually takes showers with his dad. If he wants a bubble bath it is sometimes unsupervised. I'm never more than a few feet away and we chat back and forth the whole time and he sings. He's not a quiet child if he were I don't know what age I would feel it was safe.

By 5 my kids were taking showers..  Quicker and bath water is gross!

At 5 I would just turn on the water for them and let them shower. I would help them out after and dry them completely. At 7 they were stong enough to turn the knobs, so I would let them bathe alone.

My oldest son is 4. When he's in the tub I will go in his room and put laundry away, but I don't leave the bathroom for more than a min or two max without checking. He's very good, but I'm a nervous Mommy. I don't think he could go unsupervised for longer than that. I almost always sit in the bathroom at this phase. Id say 5-6 my son can be more unsupervised. I'd likely stay on the same floor and frequently check though. 7-8 I expect more independence and showers.

My 5 year old takes a bath by herself. It depends on the child and also if they have siblings. My sisters kids were 4 and 5 when they started taking unsupervised baths they would get in wash their body twice rinse off and get out. She allowed no playing and they did exactly what they were supposed to do even when spending the night at my house.

My 6 year old takes a bath pretty much by himself I check on him threw out the process or I have him take it with his 8 year old brother but either way he is never alone very long in the bath or shower

At 7 I would leave the door open ... actually she's 9 now and still leave the door open.   Before that I always stayed in the bathroom with her
