Pad Brands and Your Body!

Rosalyn
Alright friends, I'm about to give you some intense info on your vajay-jay!
Last week I finished my cycle, but four days before I finished my period I noticed this rash on my vulva (outside of your vagina... The "lips" if you will). I recently just started dating this guy a few months ago and had sex with him 2 days before getting my period. I was FREAKING OUT! In my head I was like, shit leave it to me to have this happen after not having sex for a year and a half, so help me god, If I just got an STI, I'm gunna lose it. lol so I did the walk into the sex health clinic and was almost in tears assuming the worst. So I sat waiting patiently trying to think of something else. Once all the questions by the nurse were done, I was asked to go into another room and strip waist down, and wait for the doctor. I had always used Always pads, especially those new infinity pads because I'm the lucky one with a heavy period. But have always had irritation when using Always pads. So as she comes in, I explain what I think it is and what I hope it isn't. She tells me that she had just gone to a "Vulvular Confrence" in one of our provinces, and says "the motto that any doctor will tell you at that confrence is Always NEVER! Because many women have reactions to the chemicals and perfumes they put in their products. They are one of if not the WORST products to use." I told her I switched my brand and she reassured me that this was an allergic reaction and to stop using all always products. She also told me to not use tampons because of how bad they are for the women's body. Not to mention the bleached cotton that are in the tampons.
Note to Self: Always? Never!
