Husband is away but BDed 2 days ago-How likely is it that I could become pregnant this month?

I'm grateful to have gotten a positive OPK after weeks of testing but still frustrated. I have been testing all month and finally got a positive on Cycle Day 23. Of course my husband left for a week-long work trip yesterday and we last BD 2 days ago. Given that sperm can live for up to 3 days inside me, and that the surge means I should ovulate anywhere from 12-36 hours from now, I think my chances of conceiving this month are pretty low, but want to know if I can have just a little hope!

And yes people say sperm can live 5 days but average is 1.5

Sperm *can* live up to 5 days. For those who are TTC, 3 days is a more conservative number.

But for those avoiding pregnancy, 5 days is the number they use with NFP. Again, a more conservative number going the other way.

So there's a chance!

I'm in the same boat! My hubby left this morning and will be gone for 3 nights. My opk is getting darker today so I'm afraid my LH surge is going to happen when he is still away. We baby danced last night so I hope that does it! Wishing you the best!!
