Nipple piercing = unable to breast feed?

Question

I have always wanted to get the bad boys some bling however someone told me dont get them done young and before pregnancy as it takes the chances of breast feeding away.

Where they pulling my leg? If not what is the risks? 
Plus it looks like it hurts maybe i should grow a pair and do it. 😌

No they do NOT in any way, shape, or form take away your chances of breastfeeding. It does NOT make milk come out of three holes (seriously 😒). You do NOT have to take them out when you get pregnant. It does NOT make milk spray (milk sprays regardless of if you're pierced or not).

They act like any other piercing. They're on some skin. They are not through your mammary glands. You will still provide milk. The milk will still travel out the nipple as usual. MANY women actually love that they have them pierced because the milk flows to the baby better. However, I would recommend getting bioplast jewelry during your pregnancy (bendy sort of plastic) as your nipples will be changing and stretching. You also need to clean your piercing and nipple thoroughly before each feeding, which is why many women choose to just take them out for the two years that is recommended by the World Healthy Organization to breastfeed. The pain is also minimal. Nose and ear cartilage hurts way worse. We naturally don't have many nerve endings in our nipples because we were designed to breastfeed.

I don't know about the breastfeeding part but i have had mine done for almost 4 months with no regrets! They are very easy to maintain and i was worried about the healing process but it's not bad at all and it flies by! The pain was not bad either. The gentleman who pierced mine made me feel so comfortable and just breathing makes a big difference. It's a pinch feeling, not bad at all. Good luck if you get yours :) don't mind the haters

From what I've seen and been told, make sure you take them out when you find out you're pregnant. It will leave holes on either side of the nipple so there's a chance of three holes for milk to come through but if the baby latches properly, there shouldn't be a problem anyways!

I got mine pierced a few months ago. my piercer told me if I ever want to breast feed, just to take them out during the first trimester of your pregnancy.

Actually it makes it easier for your baby to breast feed as it makes your nipple bigger, just take out the bar first.

I've been told it doesn't affect breastfeeding, but there's a chance it can make your milk spray.. As for getting it pierced, it really depends on your pain tolerance, mine is somewhat high and it hurt a little.

My sister is a midwife and she told me it depends on the person and the location of the piercing. Some people can some people can't, however they do recommend you take them out when you find out you're pregnant.
If there is any scar tissue that will lower your chances as well.
So basically you won't know if you can or not until it's pretty much time to try 😊

I have mine done and it was the worst piercing pain wise, was swearing and crying the whole time! However I'm pretty sure my pain tolerance is really low, asking if it hurts doesn't help you cos everyone is different with pain.

i have mine! i have low pain tolerance so it hurt like hell! i asked the lady if i could still breast feed my future babies & she said yea. i think it depends on the piercer & how you get it. just take them out and put bioplast (or bioblast)jewelry when youre pregnant if you want to keep them.
