First appt with new practice.

Lisa
Hello ladies. Since I risked out of my birth center for twins, I had my first appt with a midwife/OB practice yesterday. I chose them because one they have midwives and two they have tubs to labor in.
I had a ton of questions about the delivery and for the most part was happy with what I heard.
Good!
1. I can labor in the tubs
2. If baby b is breech they will try to turn first before c section.
3. Depending on the nurse in the OR I may get lucky enough to have skin to skin immediately after c section (if I needed one)
4. They won't induce unless a problem presents itself.
Not so awesome.
1. Have to deliver in the OR.
2. They "have" to tie arms down for c section
3. They cut the cord immediately and take the babies after c section.
The midwife did say if I was delivering vaginally to be very vocal about leaving the cords bc doc are in a rush and don't think to leave it for a min or so.
She also said she could try and get are regular L&D bed in the OR so I didn't have to push on the OR table!
She also said it was possible that they don't bath them right away but they would dry them a little if I had a c section.
So basically I will just have to assertive come time for delivery and she assured me they would be as accommodating as safely possible. All depends on how the labor goes and how the babies are when they are born.
