Adoption?

My husband and I have been TTC for nine years, there comes a time when you start looking at other options. We are saving money and looking into adoptions, has anyone ever adopted in here and if so what are some ranges of how much it cost and what programs or adoptions agencies have you heard about? Any info would be awesome!

First of all, congratulations on making this step. I know your road can't have been easy, but adoption is a beautiful thing!!

I have done l bit of research on adoption myself (I would love to have bio children but even if I do have them, ideally we would also adopt). It can be extremely costly - I read that domestic infant adoption through a non-profit can range anywhere from $15,000 to more than $25,000. Which shocked me, but then I found that there is a tax credit for adoptions of something like $12,000, which brings the total cost down and makes I much more manageable at least.

The way I look at it though is - you pay $25,000 for a car, you know? To pay something in that range in order to become a parent and expand your family - when I think of it that way it's like a drop in the bucket.
