I had my second miscarriage right before Christmas, and had my D&C 12/24. I had my post-surgical follow-up yesterday and they took blood to check my thyroid hormones and HCG levels. The Dr called me today to let me know the thyroid was normal, but that the HCG was positive. She said, either they 'missed some tissue' during the procedure, or that I could be pregnant again, and want me to have regular blood tests to see if the levels are going up or down. How long post D&C do your hormones return to normal? Should I let myself get excited? I'm still experiencing such grief from the loss I'm afraid to get my hopes up. Anyone else experience something similar?
