When is it too late to take them?

My photographer said for the traditional newborn photos, best by about 10 days because that time frame is still when they'll curl up in all those positions and sleep the way they need to. We did ours when he was 4 days old and he did perfect!

Our photographer/good friend recommends 7-10 days bc they are easier to pose and super sleepy. We did our first DD's around 2 weeks and it wasn't easy. All she wanted to do was nurse and be held

Wow I'm doing ours at 8 weeks but he's tiny so hopefully it will be ok. It's just with all the holidays and having family over we didn't have time right away.

I read on a lot of photography blogs/websites that after around 10-14 days is too late, since after that the baby will tend to "stretch" out more and won't be as easy to pose in those scrunched/curled up newborn poses. We had some done at 10 days and he already was getting difficult to pose in those poses, I'd say the earlier the better!

Technically it's never too late but we got some done at 5 weeks because he had a gift certificate. It was really difficult though because she was awake more and very uncooperative.
