Doppler safety?

How safe are at home dopplers to use? Also how often are they safe to use? I don't want to cause harm to my baby but listening to the heartbeat sure does give me a peace of mind!

I didnt even know u can get them for at home? I just heard my babys hb for the first time today at my doc's appt. pretty cool. :)

My midwife said once a week is fine, but doing it more often than that hasn't proven harmless to the baby.

You'll get a lot of different answers/opinions on whether they're safe or not. A tech said they are just sound waves, and therefore, safe. I use mine once a week on the day my pregnancy is a week older. I think that's plenty. I'm not sure how much is too much however. Good luck! :)
