Hi, my 8 week old bub has had a real time of it in his short little life; he's on prescription milk (neocate) for suspected cows milk protein intolerance and now on infant gaviscon for silent reflux. The good news is both seem to be helping him but since being on the gaviscon he is suffering from horrible trapped wind, so much so that he cries and arches his back when bottom burping. I'm only giving him 1/2 a sachet in his milk as he's only just on 4oz formula but what I would like to know is if anyone else has experienced this when their baby is on gaviscon? Should I give it every other bottle to help or should I up the dose? His wind is disrupting his night sleep so have been up since 3am comforting him. I wind him religiously after every feed (even though nothing comes out most times) and keep him upright for 20-30 mins after every feed. Looking for mums/dads who are going through similar situations so we can save each other's sanity!!
