Trichomoinasis postitive & scared

I am currently 9 weeks & 6 days prego & was recently contacted by OB which imformed me my cultures came back and i tested positive for trichomoinasis **which is a sexually transmitted infection **it was beyond terrifying to hear becuse i have been with my partner for over a year and have not stepped out on my relationship and recently had a miscarriage about 5 months ago and the reason why was unknown even after 3 hospital visits and 2 OB visits. Back to the topic of "trich" which can cause miscarriages and birth defects. Im nervous because i cant have it treated with the meds prescribed until my 2nd trimester so im spooked to know i have to wait nearly a month.

????ANYONE ELSE EXPREIENCED SOMETHING SIMILAR?????
