I think something might be wrong

I'm on the day before I start ovulating and when I woke up this morning my vagina was itching like on the inside. And so because I'm overly comfortable with my body, I stuck my fingers inside myself to see if I could help the itch although I didn't scratch bc that would hurt. When I pulled them out there was a thick, creamy white substance on them. I don't know what this is and I've never experienced it before. I am sexually active but my partner and I are both each other's first so there's no chance of sti. The most recent time we had sex was 2 days ago and we didn't use anything different than usual. Any idea what could be wrong?
