At home sperm test- do they work?

Question

Have any of you have had your SO do an at home sperm test? I'm hesitant to bring it up if it's not an accurate test because my DH gets sad thinking it's his fault we haven't conceived. I hate having him feel that way but I'm so curious why it hasn't happened for us. The thing is my period is like clockwork and I ovulate every month. So did you continue to go see a Dr? Was it accurate? How did you bring it up? Or would you recommend going straight to the Dr? So many questions lol. Thanks in advance:)

I never used one, because I read that they weren't too reliable, but I decided to cover my bases to be sure. I started us on a fertility diet which included giving him maca root supplements, watermelon, asparagus, pumpkin seeds, and bananas. These are all things that are supposed to increase sperm count and quality. :)

Go to the doctor and do the test there. We tried one and it didn't work. Waste of money and reviews are  horrible.

My husband did an at home one, it came back positive, he did one at the doctors too and it came back normal. The thing about the at home one is it tells you he's good on the amount of sperm but that isn't the only factor that matters. Mobility and shape also matter and the doctors test will tell you all of it! The doctors test for us wasn't covered and it was only $100 which was only $60 more then the store bought one! I wouldn't waste money on store bought!
