So in my 1st trimester screening they saw that the baby had a "thick neck". So we did the genetic testing and i opted for the Maternal 21 test. Maternal 21 came back negative for increased risk, thankfully. So at the 2nd trimester anatomy scan they said everything looked good but they wanted me to go for the fetal echo to be sure there was no congenital heart defect. Of course i was nervous because my cousin lost 2 of their children to severe heart defects. But i went yesterday and the Dr. came in and assured me that everything looks good concerning his heart. I'm extremely relieved. Just wanted to share my excitement.
