Do you believe in monogamy?

Made up or real? Examples and reasons why?

I'm confused by this question. Yes, obviously monogamy still exists. Like 90% of people are monogamous. But do I believe it's the only way? Of course not. People should do whatever they want as long as they're not hurting anybody else and everybody is in mutual agreement about the relationship.

The majority are in monogamous relationships. Not quite sure what you're looking for. Is is to exclude polygamous relationships? Probably.

Not really.  Nor that love lasts forever.  I know they can exist for some people but I am a couple and family relational therapist and am quite cynical now really.  I realise that I only see clients whose relationships are in trouble, but it definitely has coloured my view.

I think this was meant to be a sarcastic question lol obviously the majority of relationships are monogamous.

I think you more meant is monogamy something that can be achieved and not wether or not it exists right? Because clearly it exists. I'm guessing you just didn't know how to word your question properly so I'm going to answer according to my assumption. I should also add that I'm assuming by monogamy you meant a forever relationship and not just an exclusive one. 
I think monogamy is definatly achievable even in today's culture however it is certinally becoming more difficult. As a Christian I believe satan has gotten a major foothold into our culture and has wreaked havoc I on our relationships with those around us. Sadly the bible talks about this in reference to the end times. "Because if the increase of wickedness the love of man will grow cold" (Matthew 24:12)  (before you think of me as some religious nut proclaiming the world is ending I don't believe we are going to see the end of the world anytime soon. I believe this will be a long slow and painful process.)
I think as people are falling away from certain values and morals it is becoming harder and harder to love each other properly and it takes a genuine love and grace to make a monagmous relationship work.

I don't believe everyone is monogamous. There's plenty of Polygamous people in the world.

I'm pretty sure non-monogamous relationships are more common than monogamous ones - people just hide their open relationship status still, so it doesn't seem that way. Least that's what I've heard/experienced.

But yes, monogamy exists. That's a fact, not an opinion. Some people are happiest in monogamous relationships while others are happiest in non-monogamous ones. That doesn't mean one doesn't exist. They both do.
