Do I need ovarian drilling?

I'm having a laparoscopy and dye done on Monday. At the same time I'm having ovarian drilling but I'm confused as I've read that this is done to help if you're not ovulating?

I do ovulate every month even though I have pcos.

Doctors think my tubes are blocked due to scar tissue after having my appendix taken out.

So I'm unsure whether to have ovarian drilling done as I've read that it can cause pre menopause and cab decrease your number of eggs?

Has anyone had this done?
