Sex before marriage

Me and my boyfriend have been together for about 3 years now and we've been having sex for the past 2 years. I know it is not right to have sex before marriage, but I believe that if I ask for forgiveness after the fact he will forgive me even though I know I am doing something wrong.

I just wanted others opinions about my situation.
