What happens to your vagina after giving birth?

How long does it take to heal? Does it go back to normal? I've never had to endure pain in my life and I'm so nervous of what I will have to go through after labor 😔

Everything goes back to normal. Our bodies were designed for child bearing. You won't be ruined or anything like that. Healing is a process & every woman is different but I think 6-8 weeks is the average healing time.

Its a rumor that things like child birth and lots of sex make your vagina loose. Its designed to bounce back. It'll be sore though, and it takes around 6-8 weeks to go back to normal. And even then, LOTS of lube is always recommended.

We waited the full 8 weeks to have sex and even so the first time was absolutely agonizing! I did tear pretty much from hole to hole though so that probably had a good but to do with it. But once things healed up it was right back to normal, husband said if anything he thought it was tighter then before, I did tons of kegels because I was so paranoid lol.

I was okay with this childbirth thing (38 weeks) until someone showed me a picture that equated a 38 week baby to a pumpkin. Then I freaked a little lol.

It depends on how big your baby is, levels, stitches, tears, etc but it will look and feel terrible after delivery(like no joke it's baddddd don't look down there for a few days)and for a while you will think there's no way it's going back lol but it will...I mean it won't be the exact same as before but you won't be a loose goose....while it's healing expect random embarrassing queefing for no reason lmao

It all goes back to normal eventually. Mine took 10 weeks to heal but I had a 3rd degree tear. But I will tell you this the first time you have sex after birth will feel like your first time all over again.
