Oversupply

Paisley
I pumped exclusively for 3+ weeks, but since his 1 month appt yesterday, with the help of our Doctor, we've begun breastfeeding again and he's doing great! However, due to pumping for so long, I ended up pumping about 1-3 ounces more than he needed per pump, and now my boobs have a crazy let-down and drowns us both in milk for the first few minutes lol. He has some trouble at first because of it, and I read somewhere about them getting too much foremilk when you have oversupply and the problems that causes, and he fit the symptoms of that, so the solution was to only feed one breast per session to make sure he's emptying it and getting the hind milk. Well, my boobs are mad about it! Especially the right, which is my main over-producer. It damn near shoots milk when he starts nursing on that side. I'm told they'll self-regulate after nursing for a few days. Anyone have experience with this? It's very irritating! We have to change our clothes a lot due to being soaked in milk lol. I guess I'm really just hoping for encouragement and reassurance that this problem will go away.
