I need you ladies to ease my anxiety. Is this normal at 10 weeks & 3 days

Last week I had my first sonogram (transvaginal) in which I found out that I was a little over a week further along then what we thought I was. What bothers about the sonogram is that my baby appears to be upside down. Is this normal? I've noticed that everyone else's around this time have the baby on it's back. Out of curiosity, can anyone tell what the gender of the baby is?
