What age did you potty train your child?

My boys were both 2.5. I think calling it potty training is quite silly. We don't train them to do anything. They've hopefully seen it for years. We just decide to take their diapers away and tell them have at it and hope that they are ready. I tried at 2 with each of them and neither was ready. We waited and 2.5 was the magic number for us.

Children have to be able to control their bladders before you can attempt the potty. This physically happens between the ages of 18 months and 2.5 years on average.

We let them crawl, walk, and talk when they are ready. Why should this milestone be any different?

Currently potty training at 16 months old

Mine is pretty much potty trained at 27 months. She was ready and willing at around 25 months and it really wasn't a big deal or very difficult. She still has little accidents here and there and I use pull ups at night and sometimes while out. But it was very natural.

He was out of diapers at 18 months, with only a couple of accidents.
